A Labour of Love
Fireside was founded in 2015 by Luca Ferrandino and Sophie Aldridge after a formative year spent eating their way around Naples, Salerno and the Amalfi Coast. They came back determined to bring the real thing to London — not a facsimile, but the genuine article.
The oven was hand-built by Valoriani craftsmen in Reggello, Tuscany, and fired up for the first time in our Frith Street kitchen in November 2015. Since then, not a single day has passed without the smell of wood smoke and tomatoes filling Soho.
